Boyd, who crossed over to the Gold Coast Titans at end of last season on a four year deal, has endured a torrid start to his contract on the Gold Coast, with coach Garth Brennan sacked part-way through a year that has the Titans current languishing at the bottom of the ladder 4-15 win-loss record.
The news comes as the Titans have also announced the signing of new coach Justin Holbrook.
Holbrook, who played for Newcastle, Penrith and Sydney during a short NRL career, comes to the Titans from Super League club St. Helen's on a two year deal.
