As Term 2 begins, St Raphael’s Catholic School warmly welcomes back students and families following the Easter break. The holidays provided a time of spiritual reflection, family connection, and renewal—values that remain at the heart of our St Raph's identity.
Students have returned to school with renewed energy, ready to engage in learning and school life. Classrooms are once again filled with curiosity, collaboration, and purpose. Teachers have noted students' positive attitudes and strong focus as they begin the new term with fresh goals and enthusiasm.
This term also carries special significance as our school community reflects on the life and legacy of His Holiness Pope Francis, whose recent passing has deeply touched Catholics around the world. Known for his humility, compassion, and unwavering commitment to justice and care for the poor, Pope Francis inspired millions to live out the Gospel with courage and love. In classrooms and prayer gatherings, students have been encouraged to honour his example by being peacemakers, stewards of creation, and champions of kindness in their everyday lives.
Principal Michelle Deschamps shared, “Pope Francis reminded us that faith calls us to action. As a school, we are committed to the notion of Service Learning, and living that message with integrity and hope.”
With Easter joy in their hearts and Pope Francis’s legacy in their minds, our students are ready to take on Term 2, and make a positive difference with faith, learning, and service.
K-6 students finished Term 1 with an Easter Hat Parade and a surprise visit from the Easter Bunny.
