Western NSW Local Health District (WNSWLHD) has confirmed Executive Director of Operations Mark Spittal will take up the role of Acting Chief Executive while permanent recruiting is underway.

Mr Spittal will begin in the acting role on Wednesday 10 November, coinciding with Scott McLachlan's final day before departing to start his new position as Chief Executive of the Central Coast Local Health District.
NSW Health has begun advertising the Chief Executive role on a permanent basis.
