Cowra Services Club hosted the twelfth event for the Cootamundra electorate, with attendees hearing from Amanda Anning from Cowra Health Service, Superintendent with Chifley Police District, Bob Noble, Bron Sainsbury from the Cowra Region Suicide Awareness Group Inc, Scott Kershaw from Wellways and Chad White from headspace.
"[It's] to let people know what services are available... how to access the services," Ms Cooke said.
"Mental health challenges are increasing in prevalence across the world and no community is immune to it.
"I felt that it was really, really important, as best as possible, that our communities know what is available. There is help available in our communities."
Cowra Mayor Bill West said it was vital that the people look out for each other, especially during the drought and pandemic.
"I think we all have our own understanding of mental health," he said.
"We do need to embrace the issues and the way we support people."
