On a day when the forecast was a maximum temperature of 40 degrees, the scheduled 10am hit-off time was popular, with a field of 69 taking to the fairways for a start scattered across all the holes of the course.
This allowed the whole field to finish at a common time for lunch, followed by the presentation of the results for the day.
The results were divided into three divisions based on the players' Golflink Handicap. Congratulations to all the prize winners:
A GROUP (Handicaps to 15)
- John VAN HUIZEN - COWRA (41)
- Dale STAIT - PARKES (37)
B GROUP (Handicap 16 to 20 inclusive)
- Harold BRYANT - COWRA (38)
- Harry ROWLING - WEST WYALONG (38)
C GROUP (Handicap 21 and above)
- Colin BELL - WEST WYALONG (40)
- Paul SMITH - COWRA (38)
These prize winners along with 18 other next best competitors results were rewarded with the prize of a new Golf Ball.

SPECIAL FUNCTION
Mark this Sunday in your diary, as the Cowra Golf Club holds a special luncheon to fundraise for the club and congratulate our member Noel RILEY on his 90th birthday.
Attendees should book their attendance as soon as possible with Kristy BOGNAR at the club house so appropriate levels of catering can be provided.
Noel RILEY'S contribution to the Cowra Golf Club over the years is legendary. He was awarded Life Membership two years ago. He achieved the distinction having shot a golf stroke score in a round less than his age of 80. Now he has the honour of shooting a round of 88 on September 12, once again less than his age!
Come and join us on this special day; please make your booking and pre pay at the Golf Club now.
