The aged care residence is a finalist in the Prime Super Employer Excellence in Aged Care Award which will be presented at a function on November 8.
Cowra Retirement Village CEO, Scott Kable, said the award was validation for the work they had been doing.
"It's a great honour to be nominated, we are excited about being a finalist and looking forward to the awards night with fingers crossed that we will win," he said.

"We've made a lot of improvement and changes here around our staffing and the awards acknowledge that.
"The relationship between our staff and residents, the way they interact and certainly the way our managers interact with the staff.
"There's a lot of mutual respect between the staff and their managers, we try to treat them all as individuals. Meeting their needs and being flexible as far as our working hours go.
"We've put in place an employee assistance program that staff can use, a confidential free service, they can access and we've expanded our salary packaging options for staff.
"We have converted a lot of casual staff to permanent staff which gives people confidence moving forward that they have a permanent position and people appreciate that.
"We've also made improvements to the appearance of the facilities, staff areas as well as residents areas, which I think makes the staff feel valued and appreciated by management," he said.
Mr Kable said it was important the village's staff on board with management.\

"It's really important as the market is competitive for staff across a whole range of industries. We really need to be presenting ourselves and perceived as being an employer that values their staff.
"I think we are doing a good job, the managers are doing a great job and the staff are doing a great job but it's always great to get some external recognition from someone saying 'we think you are doing a good job too'."
Mr Kable also welcomed the opportunity the awards gave the village to learn from other successful aged care providers.
"This is also a chance for us to talk to the other finalists about what they are doing, what we can pick up from them and include in our processes here," he said.
"There's lots of different ways to achieve the same goal, we all have different challenges and how we meet them is interesting. To say 'that's a really great idea we should do that', if someone is already doing something really well and we can adapt it to us then we'd be crazy not to," he said.
