The 2019 Len Bird Cowra Gold Cup Shoot was conducted on August 3 and 4 in variable weather conditions. The event attracted close to 84 participants of all levels from AA Elite through to C Grade and also included Ladies, Veterans and Junior competitors.

The overall High Gun winner of the SUPERB JEWELLERY Gold Cup for the entire weekend was Kim Nealon from Orange Clay Target Club with the score of 421/426. A great achievement.
Winners of the major events were:
- Andrew Kearns - Telescope Tyres Single Barrel 54/54.
- Matthew Stokes - Cowra Services Club Double Barrel 246/246.
- Kim Nealon - Ag-Factor Pointscore 168/168
- Matthew Stokes - Cladding Australia Medley 150/150.
Local shooters to feature in the winner's circle included Patrick Dun who had a top weekend taking out first in B Grade in the Telescope Tyres SB, the Juniors in Cowra Services Club DB, second in B Grade in the Ag-Factor PS, first in B Grade in the Cladding Australia Medley and Junior High Gun for the weekend with a score of 372/400.
Col O'Leary also was successful in the Veterans trophy in the Telescope Tyres SB on Saturday.
This shoot continues to attract competitors from all over to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere & great facilities offered by the Club and a chance to catch up with friends while still striving to post good scores and chase that elusive Gold Cup.
