More than 900 customers were affected by a power outage in Cowra’s south on Monday, according to Essential Energy.

Essential Energy Regional Manager Southern, Sarah Roche said network protection equipment activated around 12pm to isolate supply to the area.
“Essential Energy restored power to 930 customers in Cowra on Monday following an unplanned power outage,” Ms Roche said.
“Attending crews completed fault finding on the network before supply was restored to all customers just before 12.40pm.
“The cause of the power outage is still being determined.
“Customers are encouraged to report a power outage on 13 20 80 or visit essentialenergy.com.au/outages for updates.”
The power outage affected approximately ten businesses, including a supermarket and cafe.
