The unit will visit twice between now and Christmas, from Monday September 17 to Wednesday, September 19 and again from Monday December 10 to Wednesday, December 12.
On both times the unit will be located at the Cowra Aquatic Centre car park in Taragala Street.
“I started donating 17-years ago,” Grenfell’s Jim Griffiths said.
“It’s very satisfying to know you are helping someone – particularly a child – the Red Cross often send details now of who the donation is going to and it does make you feel very good.”
Due to the fact that Mr Griffiths donates whole blood he is only able to donate every 80 days, which he said he plans his life around.
For years now, Mr Griffiths has travelled up and down eastern Australia farm-sitting properties to give their owners a much needed break.
For this reason he’s visited blood donation centres from Toowoomba to Shepparton.
