Social bowls May 14-
The weather was cool but these bowlers played on.
Anne Castelli, Jeanette Thompson. Leila Burns, Eileen Brown, Vera Penhey.
Major singles May 14-
Nada Kurta defeated Dorcas Presnell.
Judith Day defeated Joan Bailey.
The final of the event will be played on May 28.
Grade three pennants (blue)-
The team are as follows: Sharen Hubber, Sharon Bohanna, Nada Kurta, Maureen Nicholls. Ivy Fogg, Diane Clark, Judith Day and Dawn Dye.
Round 1 Tuesday May 19-
Sharen Hubber's team 28, Orange City 20.
Sharen Hubber's team and Ivy Fogg's team won (no results) playing Dubbo City.
Round two May 20-
Both of the teams won playing Mudgee.
The pennant teams will compete at the state play-offs on August 17-21m more details later. Congratulations to you all.
Weroona-
Cowra bowlers held a day for the residents of Weroona for their excursions to help make their days more enjoyable, proceeds for the day were $525.
Memberships are due, also annual general meeting July 9.
Nominations are open for all players.
Monday May 18- We farewelled and will always remember Dorothy Leayr who passed away on 10-5-15.
