CONTRIBUTED Jason Smith

It's an honor to be trusted with the responsibility of the elected Stingrays president knowing that my predecessors have done an amazing job over the past 76 years keeping our club strong. Our former President Jason Munday decided to stand down at the end of last season to spend more time on his fast growing business. Whilst Mr. Munday has vacated his position in the Club we didn't let him get away and he remains on the committee still offering to help out when he can.

The 2024-25 season finished on a high this year with one of our swimmers Will Berry awarded with the opportunity to compete at a state level. If you speak to our proud coaches Pat Charnock, Brooke Smith, Kane Moss, Charlie Graham and Kate Imrie they'll tell you this is no easy task. This was a direct result of their commitment and dedication. Many of our stingrays competed representing our Club in Country Regionals, Speedo Sprints, Brophy, Country Championships, State Championship's as well as Domestics carnivals.

A lot of PB's and smiles were brought back to Cowra. This was a fantastic experience for them individually and as a team. Our 2024-25 Presentation night went off with a bang, with our Club Captains Ryan Hudson and Emma Tremble displaying their talents as master of ceremonies, keeping their audience entertained. Ryan also showed us the work he does as a youth ambassador outside the club raising money for the Black Dog Institute, they are to be commended for their leadership and efforts. Young Charlie Smith was also a highlight entertaining all ages with what's becoming a stingray tradition of Charlie's trivia, giving out prizes for correct answers. This had the young crowd eager to impart their swimming knowledge. Whilst the pools have now closed for this season our dedicated committee have already hit the ground running planning for 25/26. This includes the mammoth task of putting together the Cowra Carnival that brings swimmers from all around our region to compete.

our Committee for 25/26 includes President Jason Smith, Vice President Mandy Charnock, Secretary Sarah Casey, Correspondence Jess Moriarty, Treasurer Samantha Hill, Registrar Tristen Watts, Publicity Officer Simone Montgomery, Race Secretaries Kelly Smith & Gaye Tremble, General Committee Pat Charnock, Brook Smith and Jason Munday
