But thanks to the efforts of top scorer Tommy Lamond (66 not out) and Tony McFarland (32), the home side managed to hang on for victory 9-137.
It was the perfect start for the visitors, with opening batsman Jacob Dodge slogging 40 off 42 balls alongside Michael Harden (25).
Ethan (29 not out) and Troy Newham (21) also contributed to the side's total of 5/133 after 36 overs.
Kane Schofield and Stanley Rush proved best with the ball for Valleys, taking 2/10 and 2/36 respectively.
After a shaky start, with the dismissal of Schofield for 11 and Jarod Mason for 6, McFarland and Lamond helped steady the Valleys attack.
Burrangong's hopes were lifted after five of Valleys' batsmans fell for ducks, with Drew Morris taking 4/27.
Lamond was the last standing, with Ky Johnson (10) and Angus McFarland (5) also helping to secure the win for Valleys.
Grenfell Blue takes win
It was an unsuccessful weekend for Bowling Club's second grade side, suffering a 40 run defeat against Grenfell Blue on Saturday.
Captain Paul Basham stood out in his side's performance, top scoring with 51 runs. The next best score for the side was Matt Griffiths on 10.
The best of the batsmen for Grenfell was Garry Handcock on 54 runs followed by Bailey Edwards on 37.
