St John's Anglican Church Council has been forced to cancel their annual Spring Fete and popular book fairs due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The two events join a long list of events cancelled in Cowra during the first seven months of 2020.

When it met recently the Church Council were in agreement and saddened to cancel this year's events.

For many years the parishioners of St John's have worked throughout the year to prepare items for sale at the Spring Fete, usually staged on the first Saturday during September in the Parish hall and its surrounding gardens.

Over the past few years the Parish has also staged a number of book fairs with well over 10,000 high quality books for sale covering many different topics.

If possible and the pandemic goes away the Parish hopes to arrange a fete with all of its different stalls and a book sale for later in the year or early in 2021.
