A new mental health and suicide awareness campaign, which has been launched by the Cowra Services Club, kicks off on Friday.

The campaign, printed on coasters at the club, asks patrons if they are "missing a mate" or "bottling up their feelings" around their mental health and lists places to seek help.
The campaign has been introduced by board member Joanna Treasure, who saw a similar campaign conducted by Rural and Remote Mental Health in South Australia online.
"I really like this campaign as it shifts the focus from having the courage to reach out, to having the courage to respond in a really compassionate manner to those who are reaching out," she said.
"Suicide has been a stigma for many years and people have never wanted to talk about it, it's still seen as taboo, nobody ever wants to say someone took their own life.
"We want people to realise it's ok to ask the question, it's ok to ask 'Are you ok?', 'Are you bottling stuff up?' if you are missing a mate.
"That's what we want to focus on and that's why we've chosen the wording on the coasters," she said.
Alongside local support numbers, Ms Treasure said the 10,000 coasters also had contact numbers from across NSW.
Cowra Information and Neighbourhood Centre's Danny Jackett and Donnah Chown, who helped organise the campaign, said they wanted they wanted residents to think about suicide's impact on families and the wider community.
"We have all been affected by suicide whether it is a loved one, a friend, a work colleague or someone we know in our community," Donnah said.
"We all need to just check in on each other to ask if we are ok."
"It's a challenge, I have lost friends to suicide and the people who are involved carry it for a long while," Danny said.
"We want people to think about it or look after others who may be facing the affects and what do we do if someone is in that situation.
"Here is the coaster these are the numbers on the back of it and who you should get in contact with," he said.
