Optus Territory General Manager, Central NSW, Tom O'Dea said the upgrades were part of Optus' commitment to improve coverage for customers in regional Australia.
"The planned works are expected to take place between 8am and 7pm and during this time customers may experience limited service," he said.
"Optus apologises to customers who may be impacted as a result of these planned works and thanks them for their patience."
Mr O'Dea said works are taking place prior to peak bushfire season to provide increased capacity and improve network coverage in the area.
"Given the severity of the bushfire conditions currently impacting parts of NSW, in the instance of an emergency customers should still dial 000 - or for deaf/speech or hearing-impaired dial 106 - any available telecommunications network will still be able carry the call," he said.
"Optus recommends television, radio, the internet and emergency services as vital sources of information in emergency situations.
