Book characters come to life at Mulyan

Superheroes, princesses and everything in between took over Mulyan Public School on Tuesday afternoon as the school hosted their annual Book Character Parade.

This year's theme "Reading is my Secret Power" proved popular among the students, with plenty of Spidermen, Supergirls and Captain Americas making an appearance.

Each of the classes at the school did a lap of honour around the other students to showcase their outfit and the book that inspired them.

The school's teachers also got involved and did a special lap around the assembly for the kids.

Mulyan Public School Principal, Catherine Briggs, said it was great to see the entire school community get involved.

"It's so exciting to see everybody get involved," she said.

"The teachers and students all dressing up and they looked great.

"Thanks to all the parents and families who worked so hard and made it possible to have such a wonderful day."
