Cowra's Answer for Cancer fundraising evening has raised more than $20,000, with profits going to a number of different charities.

Held at the Cowra Showground Pavilion on Saturday, August 31, organisers have announced that $23,976.99 has been raised through ticket sales, an auction, a raffle and games on the night.
"It is absolutely incredible," co-organiser Abbie McNaught said.

"It is going to be split equally between the three chosen charities and groups."
The three charities are the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Ovarian Cancer Australia and the Cowra Cancer Action Group.
Fellow organiser Gabrielle Bischof said she hoped the night would reduce the stigma and fear around cancer.
"Knowledge and awareness is power," she said.
"We are actively supporting each other and creating a positive change for a better future."
