Tanya, who grew up in Greenethorpe, will be holding workshops in Greenethorpe, Grenfell and Cowra as part of her professional development.
"I'm returning home as a part of my NSW Regional Scholarship (2018), under the mentorship of Alison Plevey of the Lingua Franca Dance Theatre and Australian Dance Party," Tanya told the Grenfell Record.
As part of the scholarship Tanya said she is seeking participants for the community engagement component of her project.
"I have three potential things the community could be involved in," Tanya said.
Fancy Our LoKal Farmers
Tanya said Our LoKal Farmers is "A bit of fun, a chance to kick up your heels and enjoy doing something a bit different.
"We will be running a free workshop focused on fun, storytelling and sharing, playing with movements of the everyday, just framed in a new way, like the infamous "Gate" for example.
"Together we will create what I like to call 'our farming folk dance', and then after I will do a little showing of the solo I have been working on.
"Following this dinner is provided. There will be hearty soups, a bonfire, and we get to dance the night away to some local live music".
Fancy our LoKal Farmers will be held at the Greenethorpe Soldiers Memorial Hall on Saturday, July 20 from 2pm until 5pm for the workshop with dinner and dancing to follow.
The workshop is for anyone of any age or ability.
"It doesn't matter if you have never danced in your life," Tanya said.
Free for a little cuppa?
"Leading up to the Saturday, everyday I would love to potentially visit and chat to people, share stories over an afternoon cuppa, about themes relating to the work, so if your interested in this let me know.
