Woodstock’s Darren Wort opened the meeting with a win to Runaway Pastizzi and Rod McDonald closed out the meeting with a win to Dana Bundy, his third winner on the 10 race card.
McDonald’s other winners were Dana Fred in the second race and Take the Apache in the fourth event.
The three wins capped off a big couple of days for Rod and Dana Lodge with the kennel finishing with a winning treble at Wagga on Friday.
Rodney’s brother Wesley recorded a winning double, leading in He Love’s Footy and Dusty Hooroo.
Paul and Braddon also had winners with Little Trojan and Marbo’s Magic.
Little Trojan took out the Janet Braddon Memorial Final in 26.14 defeating another local in Humble Mouse trained by Ron Webb, with the Paul Braddon trained Trojan`s Magic running third in an all local finish.
Canowindra’s David Grant kept the local flag flying with a win to Slippery Grant while former Cowra resident Melissa Griffin was successful with High Five.
Slippery Grant was making a return to racing after a four month break winning in fine style with a first up victory.
It was Slippery Grant’s first start since June recording her fourth win from just seven starts in a slick 18.95.
