Of the remaining three players Katrine Capps and Pam Boler drew each other as partners leaving Chris Palazzi to play the single side. Even after a few weeks away, it seemed that Chris was right on top of her game and couldn’t miss a beat, leaving Katrine and Pam in the dust behind. However Katrine and Pam, with some good tactical moves, scored quite a number of hoops and with a few mishaps from Chris, suddenly there was real competition. By the end of the game the scores were even at 22 each and everyone very happy with the challenge involved.

A very interesting game between Heather Edwards and Alison Muggridge against Netta Noack. Heather and Alison started well while Netta struggled to find her form and score some hoops. Once Netta got away from the first two hoops, she surged ahead and won the game with a small margin. 23 hoops to 21 hoops
The other game today was a singles one with Jenny Walker playing Gwen Bush. It was a slow start for Jenny while Gwen on the other hand began well. Jenny eventually found her form and caught up, snatching the game from Gwen and finishing with 20 to Gwen’s 15. A challenging game enjoyed by both.

Jan Trengove and Jenny Walker drew the singles game which turned out to be fairly even throughout although Jan gained the lead and held it to the end. 20-17
Helen Bryant played a singles game against Chris Palazzi and Gwen Bush. Right from the start Helen was on the ball and was scoring well. Chris and Gwen muddled along scoring the odd hoop and Chris managed a break of five hoops which improved their chances. However Helen was still too good and after a very exciting last half hour she had 21 hoop to her credit to Chris and Gwen’s 14.
Colleen Houghton and Zelma Beecher played Pam Boler and Alison Muggridge in a very close and tough game. Some excellent shots came from all players and at the ‘bell’, Coleen and Zelma were one ahead of Pam and Alison. 13-12
