Cowra police discourage youths on roofs

Police are asking members of the public to alert them to youths on the rooftops of local businesses.

Between 2.30am on June 3 and 7.30pm on June 4 on a business premises on Kendal Street it was reported that unknown juveniles had been climbing on the rooftops of local businesses.

Police reports suggest the youths were then running along the roofs causing minor damage.

However, there are concerns held that the youths may be seriously injured.

Police would like to ask the public that if they see that happening or know who the persons responsible are, to contact them, so the behavior can be discouraged.

Fire

Police report a fire around 6.40pm on May 31 at a residence in Newcombe Street.

During this incident a resident was cooking on a stove top when the oil they were using caught fire.

One of the residents attempted to throw the frying pan out of the house, however the hot oil impacted them causing injuries to their face, hands and legs.

Police and Ambulance NSW attended and both residents, a 20-year-old and 19-year-old woman were taken to Cowra hospital for treatment.
