The Open Day was a part of TAFE Western’s Open Week, which ran from June 19 to June 24 that showcased its innovative approach to high-quality education and training.
College Team Leader Sylvie White said it was an opportunity to learn about all of the courses on offer at the campus.
“We had a very successful day with a barbecue and college tours,” she said.
“It was an opportunity to make contact with the teaching staff here for more information about the courses offered.”
Sylvie said that the campus was on break at the moment but courses would soon be in full swing again for semester two.
“Most courses kick off on July 17, which is the first day of semester two for most courses.”
The first state-wide TAFE NSW Open Week, held in January, attracted more than 10,000 attendees to 1,300 events, with a further 26,000 people watching online via Facebook Live events.
“Whether you are looking for a career you love, skills to score a promotion at work, or a vocation change, TAFE NSW offers more than 1,200 on-campus and online courses, providing flexibility that allows students to balance their study, work and family commitments. We provide skills for today’s jobs and future careers,” Sylvie said.
