Some members of the Morongla CWA attended the South West group Handicraft and Cooking day at Boorowa recently.

Morongla won the “Cooking Shield” with the champion item being a sponge made by Jean Langfield.
Jean had 11 entries and won five firsts, one second and one third. Myrtle Wright received a first and a second and Barbara Rocavert had entries in the competition.
In the Handicraft Mary Binnington won first with a very cute knitted doll.
Ruth Daintitl received first with a a beautiful crochet rug. Barbara Langfield received a first and was selected to go further in competition.
Barbara Rocavert got first for smocking article.
A decorated hession bag was won by Ruth Daintitl.
April meeting report and May meeting date
At the April 1 meeting we enjoyed guest speaker Rachel Kriss speaking on her family experiences last year in America when her husband worked for the department of Agriculture in April and October in Kansas the town of Selina.
The five family members had and interesting cultural experience for the six months they wer in America.
Members please write in your diary the May meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 3 at the Morongla Hall and will commence at 1.30pm with a guest speaker.
The CWA is the largest women's organisation in Australia. Its aims are to improve the conditions for country women and children and to try to make life better for women and their families.
