The forecast is also for a 95 per cent chance of rain today with up to 20mm expected in Cowra.
While computer systems have been down this week staff at the Cowra Aquatic Centre have noticed a marked increase of swimmers and families visiting in an attempt to beat the heat.
Those who find the mid 30s uncomfortable can continue to head to the aquatic centre to cool off with the new inflatable obstacle course open for $2, with one-hour sessions starting at 11am, 12.30pm, 2pm, and 3.30pm on both Saturday and Sunday.
The Aquatic Centre will also be the place to be on Australia Day with a range of activities planned, including a climbing wall.
The swimming season at Cowra Aquatic Centre runs up until the end of March this year.
