Well clear off the fridge door - Toon Creations and Cowra Council have teamed up to offer four school holiday workshops to turn doodlers into drawers.
Chief 'toonist Adam Brisson began drawing at age eight before moving onto doing caricatures at functions when he was 17.
He started helping to run cartoon workshops when he was 18, and taught privately for 10 years before opening his cartooning school in Bondi last July.
Mr Brisson said his workshops include fun activities such as games and trivia based around cartoon characters.
"If they have ever watched Saturday morning cartoons, seen an animated movie or superhero movie or just enjoy doodling on a piece of paper - then this is a workshop for them," Mr Brisson said.
He said students will learn to draw their favourite characters, how to develop their own characters and gain confidence in their drawing.
"The feedback I have received from the workshops is all positive, with trivia, mirror drawings and minions being the highlights," Mr Brisson said.
"I believe everyone can draw and I teach that in my workshops. If you can write the alphabet, know your numbers 0-9 and basic shapes - you can draw!"
Toon Creations workshops will be held in the Cowra Library Multipurpose ROOM 94 on Wednesday, January 8, kids aged 6-10 years, 1pm-4pm 11-15 years; and Thursday, January 9, at 9am-12pm for kids aged 6-10 years and 1pm-4pm for kids 11-15 years.
Sessions are $15 per person and places are limited. Secure yours by Tuesday, January 7 by contacting Cowra Council on 6340 2000.
