'Christmas on the Oval' will run from 5pm - 9pm.
You're encouraged to bring a picnic and a rug, sit down on the oval and enjoy some fantastic live music from the likes of Malia Stirling, Josh Maynard, and Belle Whitwell, as well as a special performance from the Cowra Band.
Cowra Youth Council will be on site running some fun kids games along with the annual Cowra Information & Neighbourhood Centre's Christmas Wonderland, offering Christmas photos, hair spray, temporary tattoos and face painting for the kids. Families can also bring their letters to Santa and walk away with some fun goodie bags.
You can book your time slot for Christmas photos by giving Katie from CINC a call on 6340 1100.
"After a challenging year, it's so great to be able to put on something fun for the Cowra community," Cowra Tourism Assistant Manager Kurt Overzet said.
"Although COVID has prevented us from holding our usual night markets on the main street, and also hindered our plans for a larger event at River Park, we're still glad we can hold this brand new event for the community, as well as the Christmas Lights Competition".
"The Cowra Magpies Rugby League Club have generously offered to run the bar and BBQ on the night, and local coffee caravan 'Lil Bean & Co' will also be present, we're encouraging attendees to bring a picnic and a rug to enjoy out on the oval, " he said.
If you're attending you will be required to show proof of vaccination and check in using the QR codes provided.
Spaces are limited, you can pre-register by visiting www.visitcowra.com.au/cowra-christmas-festival.
The Cowra Christmas Festival is a joint effort between Cowra Tourism, Cowra Shire Council, Cowra Business Chamber, and the Cowra Information & Neighbourhood Centre.
