To help locals with their decision, a Meet the Candidates forum was held at the Cowra Services Club late last week, with those in the running introducing themselves and answering questions from the public in front of a live audience and online via live stream on the Cowra Guardian's Facebook page.
The forum was organised by the Cowra Conduit, a Facebook page for residents to bring their ideas which, in turn, can be workshopped and possibly taken to council.
Cowra Conduit founder and emcee of the forum, Marc McLeish said it was a successful event.
"It went really well, I think we got what we wanted. The feedback was really good," he said.
"It was a very handy tool."

Mr McLeish said the candidates all expressed themselves very well and gave the audience an insight into their feelings, attitudes and what they believe they can do for the community as a councillor.
"All the candidates performed really well, that being said, I want to stress public speaking is not a prerequisite for council," he said.
"Transparency and clarity was a glowing feature of most of the addresses on Sunday."

Mr McLeish encouraged residents to view the live stream again ahead of Saturday's election
"We want people to have a look at the video again," he said.
"I don't want recent events, like the K-Hub decision, to cloud people's judgement."
