Shiralee Brett, of Darling Avenue, failed to appear before the court charged with driving with an illicit drug present in her blood and the matter was dealt with in her absence.
According to police facts around 3.55pm on Saturday, August 21, police stopped a vehicle on Lachlan street that was travelling 40km/h, subjecting Brett, to testing which returned a positive detection to methamphetamine.

In sentencing, Magistrate Jilian Kiely noted Brett had a lengthy history of drug use going back to the early 90s.
