NSW Rural Fire Service says the motorist was driving down the road, which connects Forbes and Cowra, when floodwaters cut off their access.
Unable to turn around, they requested assistance.
The Rural Fire Service helicopter was in the area, assessing flooding in support of the State Emergency Service, was able to land and safely relocate the driver.
Authorities urge people never to drive into floodwater.
Numerous local roads are impacted by flooding, and the RFS advises the situation can change quickly.
Check LiveTraffic for major roads impacted by flooding, and the Forbes Shire Council website for local road closures, and remember that the SES message is, "if it's flooded, forget it".
- For assistance phone the SES on 132500 or in an emergency phone 000 (Triple Zero).
