These cases will be included in figures to be announced on Friday.
A further six COVID cases were reported in Cowra this morning.
All are household contacts of previous Cowra cases.
To help prevent the spread of the virus Mr McLachlan has urged Cowra residents to abide by stay at home orders.
"If we didn't have stay at home orders in place the number of cases would double every day," he said.
"We can't let ourselves think this will be over when we reach 70 per cent vaccination, we are going to see case numbers go up in coming weeks and months.
"We know vaccination is going to be so crucial, we do't want to rest on our laurels at 70 percent, 95 per cent is the goal in Western NSW.
"Don't leave home if you don't have to," Mr McLachlan said.
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
Mr McLachlan reminded Cowra parents that children can easily transfer the virus.
Forty per cent of cases reported in Western NSW over the past six weeks have been in people under the age of 20.
And more than half of those are in children under the age of 10.
"Kids are great spreaders of COVID-19," Mr McLachlan said.
"With that in mind and school returning it is so important to get tested.
"Look for opportunities to get tested, particularly bring your kids, use the long weekend to get the entire family tested."
To 8pm on Wednesday, September 29, 43 COVID cases were reported across Western NSW, a significant increase on day before.
"This time last week we were seeing three or four cases, it's a stark reminder how quickly things can evolve," Mr McLachlan said.
The vast majority of Western cases who have been hospitalised are unvaccinated adults with underlying health conditions.
