The sides have only faced each other once this season, with the Blues coming away with the win in Round 2, while their Round 5 meeting had to be abandoned.
With the last few weeks of the competition being disrupted Blues captain-coach, Chris Day, said it was shaping up to be a good weekend.
"Yeah it will be good to get back out on the park, we've had a few weeks off," he said.
"I will be good to crack in.
"We haven't played them (Dubbo) since Round 2, so we're not really sure what they are going to bring over.
"But as I've said all year, we'll plan to do what we want to do and adjust that accordingly."
Day said with the time off the side was looking in good form both with selections and fitness.
"We're looking pretty good availability wise so that will be good," he said.
"And as we do every other game we'll use our mix of experience and youth, let the young fellas run around and do what they do and the older fellas will do what they do."
He said the side wasn't discounting how hard the match would be though.
"Dubbo whether it's Tier 1 or Tier 2 are always a lot stronger at home," he said.
"But they where still quite a challenge in Round 2, even though we won by 30 or 40 points, it was a pretty tough game.
"So we are expecting them to bring over a pretty red hot side.
"We'll have to get together and crack in."
With regional grounds unable to hold up under the weight of the wet weather battering the region Mulyan Oval has been a beacon of excellence for the competition.
Last weekend the ground played host to the Orange Tigers and Bathurst Bushrangers matches in the men's Tier 1 and Tier 2 competitions and the women's competition.
That will continue this weekend with the ground also seeing the Bathurst Giants and Orange Tigers take the field following the completion of the Blues match.
Day said it was a notch in the club's belt to see their ground hosting multiple matches for the central west competition.
"It holds up well, we've had a bit of rain on Tuesday this week, but it should be pretty clear and dry up well for the weekend," he said.
"We'll have an 11am start and then we are hosting Giants against Orange in Ladies and Tier 1 competitions at 12.30 and 2.15.
"So there will be quite a bit of footy here on the weekend."
