Renowned for their horses racing well on their home track the Molloy stable went close earlier in the day when Shiny Agent finished third behind Flying Honour in the day's opening event.
Fellow Cowra mentor Kathryn Cahill was forced to settle for the fourth placegetter's cheque with Shylock finishing behind the placegetters in the Clem Watmore Memorial Maiden Plate.
Owned by Katie Molloy and Don Caldwell, Valarian lead throughout to score his second race win, by a head from the fast finishing Renzulli (M Presits $15) with The Exchequer (M Travers $11) in third.
"It always helps when they don't have to go anywhere," winning jockey Ken Dunbar said of the Cowra trained galloper.
