Caleb Muehlbauer, of Fitzroy Avenue, was before the court charged with common assault.
According to police facts, around 1.30pm on May 19, Muehlbauer was at his residence on his lunch break when he became involved in an argument with another person.
During the argument, Muehlbauer spat on the person, with the spit landing in the person's hair.
The person took a photo of the spit and fearing a further assault, picked up a tool from a coffee table.
After the person dropped the tool, Muehlbauer took a plaster sculpture from the wall and threw it on the floor, causing damage.
The person then attempted to push Muehlbauer out of the residence. He then picked up a bowl from the coffee table and threw it across the room.
The person then contacted police who attended and took a statement.
Around 6pm on May 20, Muehlbauer attended the Cowra Police Station upon request and spoke to police about the incident.
Muehlbauer told police the argument had been about the person not working and him having to support them.
Muehlbauer's solicitor, Jo Collings, said her client felt ashamed by his actions and had felt cornered in the moment.
She said while he had already been convicted in his absence previously, she was asking for a conviction not to be recorded as Muehlbauer wished to travel in the future.
In response, Magistate Michael O'Brien said travelling overseas should be the least of Muehlbauer's worries.
Mr O'Brien said Muehlbauer's behaviour had been extraordinary, that as a Section 4 annulment application hadn't been made, "the deal is done".
