The six players today included Ken Anderson, a player from one of the Sydney clubs.
Ken and Don Capps joined forces to challenge Netta Noack.
Ken hadn't much experience of Association Croquet, only Golf Croquet, so he found that Netta's style was a bit different from what he was used to.
He was amazed that someone the size of Netta could be such a determined player shooting the balls all over the court in order to score her hoops.
However the men managed to overcome Netta when time was called.
Jan Trengove and Katrine Capps were able to achieve a win over Helen Bryant and Gwen Bush.
The game went the full distance of two hours with a 26-15 result.

Jenny Walker and Netta Noack described their game as very lady-like, bringing up visions of long white lacy frocks, and side shots with the mallets, which was as pleasant as the warm afternoon.
Each player had good roquets especially Jenny, who was able to follow up with peeling both balls through at the same time, on several occasions.
Netta felt her game was very satisfactory too, getting her balls easily through a number of hoops. The both felt very pleased with their practice game.

The singles game was played between Jenny Walker and Helen Bryant.
Jenny was having trouble with her roquets (the first of three shots in the turn) which left the door open for Helen to take the lead and win the game 26-17.
It must have been a bit of a battle as the game continued for nearly two hours. Chris Palazzi and Ana Kusetic teamed up to play Don Capps and Netta Noack.
Right from the start the challenge was on with the Don/Netta team determined to win and the Chris/Ana team just as determined they wouldn't.
For a while Don and Netta led the way, but a break of five hoops gave Ana and Chris their chance, and they went on to easily take the game pegging out 26 to 15.
In the third game Gwen Bush and Jan Trengove drew the tiles to challenge Katrine Capps and Elaine Hall. For the first time for quite a while all four players scored the first hoop with ease.
The game continued in the same easy manner with Jan and Gwen drawing slightly ahead, a lead they held for the rest of the game giving them the win 26-18.
