The school's Learning Hub took out the Secretary's Award for an Outstanding School Initiative, while P&C President, Peter Wilson was a Public School Parent of the Year recipient.
Learning Hub staff member, Casey Brien, said it was all about the health and wellbeing of each student at CHS.
"Everyone in the Learning Hub I believe is really passionate about supporting the wellbeing and education of the kids, so it's exciting to see it acknowledged as a great initiative," she said.
The Hub was formed following a merger between the Aboriginal Programs and Learning and Support Teams, Mrs Brien said.
"It allows us to be flexible and provide individualised support to kids with a huge amount of needs, whether it's learning needs, mental health issues, even to providing them with lunch and recess if they don't have any food at home," she said.
"It's not the same program for every kid regardless, it's totally different, whatever the kid needs is what we try and support them with.
"It's accessible to everybody, including parents."
Mr Wilson said he was "extremely humbled" to receive the award.
"[I've] been given this prestigious award knowing there would be a number of applicants which would have been submitted across the state," he said.
"I feel that, as a parent, it's very important to give something back to public education and very, very proud of CHS here at the moment and the achievements which are being shown through the high level of teaching here at the school."
Mr Wilson has been involved in a number of community and school organisations, including the board of Carinya and President of the Mulyan Public School P&C.
He said it's all about giving back to the community.
"I'm very passionate about public education, I think it's great to see rural kids given every opportunity. As a parent, if I think I can help, I think that's very, very important," he said.
"P&Cs and the parent body, we are always very low in numbers and it would be great to see a greater number of parents being involved and particularly at the high school.
"It's just wonderful to be part of such a dynamic school community, which Cowra High is."
