The Lachlan River hit 7.5m on Monday afternoon after torrential rain hit Boorowa across Saturday and Sunday.
The NSW SES on Sunday issued a livestock and equipment alert for the Lachlan River downstream of Cowra.
"Local observations and inflows on the Boorowa River at Prossers Crossing will see downstream rises along the River and into the Lachlan River downstream of Cowra as a result of heavy rainfall within the catchment," the Lachlan NSW SES Facebook page advises.
"Flooding may affect low-lying farmland and local roads near rivers and creeks.
"Land owners and farmers adjacent to rivers and creeks should monitor river levels and the weather."
