The oval was the most recent victim of ongoing vandalism to council green spaces and had been left with deep ruts and divots, which will require ongoing maintenance.
Officer in Charge of Cowra, Inspector Adam Beard, said police were pleased to be able to bring the accused men before the court.
"I'm happy to report that Cowra Police have identified and commenced prosecution against two 18-year-old Cowra men," he said.

"Both charged with malicious damage and other driving offences in relation to the damage to Rodwell Oval on June 19.
"They will appear at Cowra Local Court at a later date and compensation will be sought for the damage to the grounds," he said.
At the time Cowra Council had encouraged residents to contact Cowra Police if they had any information regarding the damage.
Inspector Beard said he wished to thank those who came forward for their information.
"Police would like to acknowledge and thank the Cowra community for their assistance in identifying the persons involved," he said.
"We can never be everywhere at once in Cowra and we rely heavily on information from the public to solve crime.
"This is one such example where a concerned community member has contacted police following reports and we're very fortunate that has occurred.
"In this case it's been pivotal in initiating prosecutions against the persons involved."
