When Stassi isn't studying her Bachelor of Arts in Librarianship and Corporate Information Management or working at the Cowra Visitor Information Centre as the Information and Sales Officer, she helps the Cowra Youth Council create events as Chairperson.
She would like to see more events for young people in our community,

"More activities and safe spaces for young people like a youth hub/café and more programs to help young people prepare for the future,' she said.
"Volunteering on the Youth Council can help make these activities happen as well as conversing with local members of parliament, business owners and the youth of Cowra."
Stassi loves that Cowra rallies together during tough and difficult times and that we support small and local businesses.

Stassi believes her greatest achievement so far was working together with Youth Action NSW and the Cowra Youth Council to create an anti-bullying program #projectupstander.
Stassi Austin is inspired by amazing young people around the world like Malala Yousafzai, Greta Thunberg and Bri Lee because they motivate her to make a positive change in our community and our world.
