Kate Price has accomplished so much in her young life already, and she hasn't stopped pushing herself to undertake new opportunities!
She holds the school captain position at St Raphael's Catholic School and represents it with dignity and pride.
Her role enables her to organise major school events, such as the school's current 150th year anniversary celebrations, and other school masses and ceremonies.
Kate is also co-deputy chairperson for the Cowra Youth Council and gets to work with her fellow youth councillors to organise events.
Kate has participated in many events such as the Rotary World Peace Day, NSW Youth Drought Taskforce Summit, the Festival of International Understanding and celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Cowra Breakout as a Youth Ambassador.
She was truly honoured and humbled to have received the Cowra Youth Citizen of the year award and is looking forward to continuing being involved in local sport and community events.
Kate loves how community0minded Cowra is and she believes it has many opportunities for those who look for it.
She is always encouraging young people to be more active and involved within the community either in sports, art or cultural activities.
Kate is looking to go to university and complete a Bachelor of Education.
Her end goal is to be able to teach children in rural communities in NSW and across Australia.
"You never know where the road will take you, so I'll just keep on taking any opportunities that come my way and see where it leads me," - Kate Price
