Council continues to take advice and guidance from NSW State Government (NSW Health) and the Federal Government (Department of Health) that are the lead agencies in relation to the management of COVID-19 (Coronavirus).
Council will ensure essential services continue to be delivered to our community including water, wastewater, garbage collection and ranger services.
We are constantly reviewing our plans to make sure we are prepared for any situation.
As this situation rapidly unfolds we may need to change, reduce or postpone services and events at short notice.
If this happens, we will let you know.
Council staff will remain working at this time to support ongoing services, however, from midnight, March 25, 2020, the following facilities will be closed until further notice:
- Cowra Aquatic Centre
- Cowra Regional Art Gallery
- Cowra Library
- Cowra Civic Centre
All other Council activities and facilities remain open at this time but we ask that unless you have essential business to conduct you do not attend those facilities.
Council Customer Service Centre
At this time the customer service centre remains open with measures in place to maintain appropriate social distances.
Residents are requested to avoid entering the customer service centre unless absolutely essential.

The safety of our community remains at the forefront of our decision making process.
We understand these changes will cause some disruption to the routine of our community, but we have made this difficult decision to reduce the risk faced by the vulnerable members of our community.
Adhering to these temporary changes may also assist in keeping council services open to customers.
We thank you for your cooperation during this challenging time.
