Cowra High School has officially appointed acting principal, Helene Hamilton, to the top job.

Director of Educational Leadership, Cowra Network, David Lloyd said Ms Hamilton is "very deserving of this appointment".
"Ms Hamilton has a wealth of proven experience as an educational leader in various schools throughout her career," he said.
"She was recommended through a merit selection process where her experience, personal qualities and proven educational leadership were considered against other applicants which led to her being successful in achieving the position."

Ms Hamilton was selected by a panel including staff representative Mr Stuart Kerr, the Parents and Citizens Association representative Mr Pete Wilson, the AECG Representative Aunty Robyn Coffey, the participating school principal from Tweed River HS, Ms Leisa Conroy and the panel convener, Mr Duncan Auld, Director Educational Leadership Orange.
"Ms Hamilton is to be congratulated on her appointment to principal which pending clearance processes from within the Department of Education will commence in the coming weeks," Mr Lloyd said.
"I know that she will build upon the achievements and successes experienced by the school over several years now as a result of the dedication and commitment from all leadership, teaching and support staff during that time.

"The school community has much to celebrate and the students, staff, parents and broader community will be the beneficiaries of her appointment as principal.
