Cowra Singers started the entertainment with four wonderful songs.
Following the main course of cold meat and salads prepared for us by Cafe Ruze's Robyn Ambachtsheer and Norm Palazzi entertained us with poetry readings.
After Christmas pudding, pavlova or fruit salad for desert lucky door prizes and the raffle were drawn then U3A performed one of Roald Dahl's Revolting Rhymes about Goldilocks and the Three Bears, in which Goldilocks is not portrayed as a 'sweet little girl'.
The day finished up with a blind auction conducted by Don Capps where mystery parcels were bid for, some contained good items others not so good, but all were auctioned of with a lot of fun descriptions from Don to entice more bids.
Money raised from this will be donated to Salvation Army and St Vincent de Paul.
A big thanks to everyone who attended and to all the members who assisted to make it another memorable Christmas lunch.
