But in the end, it was Morongla who held their nerve, dismissing the visitors for 117 to claim a ten-run victory at Twigg Oval on Saturday afternoon.
Andrew Wilson starred with the ball, taking 3/16, while Tom Doolan took 2/30 and Mitchell Amos added an economic 1/10 from his five overs.
For the visitors, Graham Handcock did his best to get things going the hosts way, top-scoring with 26, while Joshua Knight (22) and Bailey Edwards (20) showed some resistance with the bat.
While it was a disappointing day for the Grenfell White side, who would've been hoping to come away with the points, the first innings did show some positives.
Edwards was impressive with the ball, bowling two maidens to go with his 2/19, dismissing opener and top-scorer Lachlan Phillpott (28) to put the hosts in a dangerous position at 3/68, having already just lost the wicket of Rohan Wilson moments prior.
The situation deteriorated further for Morongla from there, losing Bailey Beale (2) at 4/76, to give Edwards his second scalp.
Nevertheless, the hosts fought back, finishing at 7/127 thanks in no small part to a handy 26 from Mitchell Amos, giving themselves what was ultimately a defendable total.
Morongla will now take on the undefeated Bowling Club at Twigg Oval, while Grenfell White will face Grenfell Blue at Henry Lawson Oval.
