Firstly it was the club's 31st birthday.
There was a special surprise for our members and one member in particular, Marie Whiteman, who joined Cowra Ladies Probus 27 years ago.
She has a love of travel and adventure and is newly retired from the Cowra Medical Centre.

For her tireless work on the committee as President and Secretary, along with her knowledge of the Probus constitution it was decided by the committee that she should be presented with a life membership plaque, a certificate and a beautiful bouquet of flowers.
Marie, being quite humble but extremely surprised, was asked to cut our birthday cake which was served to our members with tea and coffee.
President Fay interviewed Marie asking her how things had changed over those years.
Her reply that was many things have changed.
Looking ahead
Plans are being made by our travel officer Beryl for a holiday away in May 2020 to Moree taking in Broken Hill, details later.
Our November 8 meeting will be a little different for our members.
We have planned a garden meeting and morning tea at Pam and Garry McKay's garden in Dawson Drive.
As it is spring carnival racing week, members are asked to wear a hat if possible and please bring a plate for morning tea to share.
