There is also a 21-day respite extension that is granted under special circumstances. The Australian Government subsidises residential respite services in Cowra. When entering an aged care home on a respite basis, residents are asked to pay a respite fee of $51.21 per day. This fee covers nursing care, activities, meals and laundry services, while residents are still required to pay for additional items like hairdressing appointments, medication and items that the home wouldn't normally buy. Weeroona's admission team is more than happy to provide further information about what's covered by this daily fee.
