A 28-year-old man has been airlifted to Sydney after an altercation in Cowra on the weekend.

About 6pm on Sunday, September 8, officers attached to Chifley Police District were called to Mulyan Street following reports a man had been stabbed.
It is alleged two men confronted a male, aged 30, in relation to an ongoing dispute when a fight ensued.
Police were told the 30-year-old man produced a knife during the fight and stabbed the 28-year-old man in the chest before a witness intervened.
The 28-year-old attended Cowra Hospital for treatment and was later airlifted to Sydney in a stable condition.
Officers from Chifley Police District established a crime scene at the Mulyan Street address and commenced inquiries.
Investigations continue.
