Teachers at Cowra Public School took their reading of Matt Cosgrove's "Alpacas with Maracas" to another level however, with teacher Kerry White tracking down an Alpaca costume to perform as one of the alpacas in this year's reading, led by school librarian Sheridan Oborn.
Principal Jenny Lewis explained that the school's teachers willingness to go the extra step makes the book particularly enjoyable for the younger cohort.
"They're super excited... fortunately we have some very enthusiastic teachers that jump on board," she explained, while Ms Oborn concurred with the principal's assessment.
"Certainly become aware of that book and because that book's in a series as well, the series becomes very popular," she added.
