If your team needs to forfeit at all during the holidays please let the organisers know as soon as possible so they can try organise another team to fill in for you and avoid someone missing out.
Please also note it is the teams drawn in first matches who are responsible for putting up the nets.
The organisers have helpers to put everything out ready for you to help the process but they’re not responsible for setting them up.
It only takes five mins if everyone lends a hand.
The competition has been plagued by rain this season and organisers are not sure what it is about rain forecasts and Wednesday nights but looking at the forecast rain is at least looking more likely to fall on Thursday this week for once.
Please note that if twilight is cancelled a notice will be posted on the Cowra Soccer Facebook as close to 5pm as possible and a text will go out to your team manager at the same time.
If in doubt just check Facebook at 5.15pm.
No notice, then twilight soccer it’s going ahead.
Team Managers please don’t forget to remind all players in your team to have a look through the rules so everyone knows them.
First game teams need to arrive prior to kick off to have goals set up and ready to go by the siren.
Last game teams need to dismantle and put away a goal each as well.
Kylie and Mick Francis will be on grounds before kick off if anyone needs anything.
Please note that any injuries are to be reported to a committee member immediately as are any breakages to equipment so we can organise having it fixed and ready to go before the following weds.
Shin guards MUST be worn.
They’re a requirement of our insurance so if you don’t have them on you don’t play. It was disappointing this week to have police this.
Team managers are also responsible for ensuring every player is wearing them so please have them on.
We have had some serious injuries this year already unfortunately, so you really are not only putting yourself at risk of not being covered by insurance but also the club to so please do the right thing.
Your committee members for this season are Natasha and Brad O’Reilly and Kylie and Mick Francis.
Please remember you must be registered to take the field before you arrive.
Late registrations can’t be taken on the fields anymore as the competition has switched completely to online registrations this season.
If you do take the field and are not registered you are not insured and are putting both yourselves and the club at risk.
So please contact the organisers via the Facebook page if you need to register.
