The event is fast approaching with the Cowra based wrestler working hard perfecting the match card in an effort to give the ICW Central West fanbase in Cowra the best show yet on Saturday November 3 at the Cowra Civic Centre.
“It`s a long, arduous process putting together a quality line-up of matches, especially with the busy schedule and inevitable injuries meaning that a lot of our wrestlers are in high demand,’’James said.
“Things have fallen together nicely though with the current card featuring nine top-quality matches featuring a diverse mix of wrestlers, styles and match types.
“Unlike other sports where the rules or action is the same throughout our shows feature a mix of different matches with varying numbers of competitors and sometimes even different ways to win,” Lanham said.
“Just like no two wrestlers are the same no two matches tell the same story meaning fans on hand will experience an exciting, fast moving and family friendly night of entertainment.”
Lanham is wrestling on the program and believes he’ll have his work cut out for him “with two exceedingly challenging opponents in Addicus Slain from Cootamundra and then in the main event ICW Central West champion Rex’’.
“My trainee, Barry “the Swooper’’ Blake will be having his first ever match against veteran villain Mike Kelly,” Lanham said.
“We have a lot of other great matches featuring talent from all over the country like Vinnie Bronson taking on Dan Archer, Ryan Miller against Alex Irvine against Adrian Axton in a triple threat match and also chaotic elimination match featuring several wrestlers, not least 20-year veteran John Raymond.”
In a match close to High Octane`s heart the Alan Lanham Memorial Trophy, commemorating James` late grandfather, will be decided in a fatal four-way between The Birdman, Nick Maltino, Reverand De`ath and Blacktown Brawler.
Niki Nitro will meet Nyx Jade and Bindi Valentine in a three woman clash and the masked madman Super Crimson Mask will take on Adrian Axton in a real “David vs. Goliath’’ battle.
“I`d be remiss in not mentioning the huge supporting crew we have on hand as no show would be possible without them,” Lanham said.
“We have local ring announcer Craig Drayton, injured legendary wrestler Rob Mezzenger on commentary with Dennis Thompson and me, as well as our referees Michael Gianniasca and head referee Jessica Hitchens, who commands a level of respect and authority in the ring that most veterans can`t achieve,” Lanham said.
‘The same as our female wrestlers, Jessica is a strong role model for young women attending our events’’.
“All of our roster aim to leave a lasting impression on our audience, by not only providing a great night of entertainment but by providing fans with inspiration to overcome life`s adversities and having them leave the event feeling empowered.”
Lanham stressed that “as with all events like this where injuries are common the card is subject to change”.
