Fourteen Year 11 students from Cowra High took the trip to Canberra on Monday to a part of the live audience for Q&A, which was held at the Australian National University.
The episode was a High School Special, which gave students from across the country the opportunity to voice their opinions on the big issues.
On the Tuesday, the students had the chance to go on a tour of both the Labor Party Headquarters and Parliament House.
At Labor HQ, they met up with 2009 Cowra High School captain Erin Watt before moving onto Parliament House, meeting up with Member for Riverina and Deputy Prime Minister, Michael McCormack.
Minister McCormack caught up with them for a chat about politics and what it’s like being Deputy PM of Australia, saying it was great to catch up with the students.
“Thanks for stopping by,” he said.
